I'M GOING TO CHINA

Hello again Blogger,
It's been a year since I've blogged about anything really.
I feel really bad about this. I will try to make up for the lost time by posting interesting facts and findings!

As most of you know I'll be going to China this April. Sadly in China social networking sites such as "Facebook & Twitter" are banned by the government.
Being the facebook addict that I am. Going without Facebook will be extremely hard.
Since Blogger isn't banned ( yay ) I will use my resources and chronicle my journey throughout China using Blogger as a medium.
I'll try to post as many pictures of China alongside my blog posts. This way all my friends and followers can view the interesting things there are to see in China.

So where in China will I be going?
For my school exchange I will be heading to Boading 保定 in the Hebei prefecture.
Baoding is a prefecture leveled city about 140 kilometers south of Beijing
It has a population of 10,890,000 ( holy shit ! )

While in Boading I will reside in an all girls school dormitory for 10 days.
In those ten days I will be going to school with the Chinese students. I will follow their classes which include "Traditional Tea ceremony, flower arrangement,Physical education which includes running track, Chinese lessons and English lessons "

Each student will be appointed a "buddy" the buddy will be the best English speaking student on campus. She will guide you around Boading and accompany you in the lessons. I'm pretty excited about meeting my buddy. I got her a bunch of small presents. I mean it's the least I can do for someone who will take time out of their busy schedule to guide me around right?

From what I've heard is that the average Chinese student is in class from 7 AM till 10 PM at night. And then studies till 12 PM and goes to bed. So basically Chinese students have hardly any time for themselves. This is a little extreme for me.
I'm very curious to hear the opinions of the students there on how they perceive this. I might use this as blog material later.

After 10 days I will spend 3 days in Beijing!
Words cannot describe how excited I am about this!!
Beijing is one of the biggest cities in the world
Beijing is also one of the "Four Great Ancient Capitols of China"
It also houses a population of 22 million !
I'll be staying in a fancy 5 star hotel in the business center of Beijing!
I CANT WAIT!!!
While in Beijing I'll be going to the Great Wall of China, Temple of Heaven, The forbidden city, the Silk market and the Botanical gardens.
I don't know if I'll have enough time to see the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong and the Chrystal tomb he was laid in. I heard that the entrance is free but it take hours and hours to get in. So we'll see!
I hope to do many things while in Beijing!

I could rant forever on what I'd do in China. But I will save that blog material for another post.
I hope you enjoyed reading my post. Be sure to follow and check back regularly.

New pictures!!

Sorry for my long absence!
Lately I haven't really found the time to blog and/or take pictures.
But luckily I have two new pictures to add for some outfit inspiration.

So spring has arrived, sunny days are slowly taking over.
And on that note it is time to bring out our sundresses and cute summer shoes.

Personally Pritilicious.

Today, after anxiously waiting for three weeks, the package my boyfriend Hunter sent me finally arrived.
I happily opened the door only to pay €18, 86 on import tax. Though I did hesitate on whether or not to punch the delivery guy because he was giving me a hard time about loose change. I didn't let that get to me. I couldn't wait to open the package.

I carried the package with a huge smile on my face to my bedroom, only to realise I didn't have anything sharp to open it with since the package was sealed shut.
An eyelash curler wouldn't do the job.

Slightly agitated I went down to my kitchen and took the first sharp object I found. A beer opener..?
Anyway, I ran back upstairs with a sharp object in my hand, probably not the safest thing to do in the world, but I didn't care.

I sat down, started stabbing away in the tape, broke a nail in the process and opened the box.
And what I found was beautiful.
See pictures below

The content of the package consisted of:

- A pair of peep-toe heels
- Two english books
- Some medicine
- A pair of suede boots
- A sweet note from my boyfriend
So, needless to say. It was very sweet of my boyfriend since he picked out the shoes himself.
It was a belated birthday/valentines gift.

I love him ridiculously.

Vivre un roman d'amour

Nuit Blanche from Spy Films on Vimeo.

All credits go to Spy films.

Secretly don't we all wish we could encounter a stranger like that on the streets.
It's romantic and heartwarming in a macabre way, yet it's really beautiful.
I was really moved by all of it being put together so elegantly.
I absolutely loved the CGI, the music score and the powerful expressions of the actors.

Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

Editing Mania

Hello my dear legion of readers.

As some of you might have noticed I edited my blog.
Its black and I have a new banner.
I've decided I should blog more often, and also famewhore my blog a bit more as well.

So what have I been up to lately?
I recovered alive from a malicious fever that didn't hesitate to make me feel horrible for two weeks straight.

Last wednesday was my birthday. I turned seventeen, which is wonderful.
I celebrated my birthday with a few good friends.
We had decided to go to a cocktailbar.
We went to a bar named Elit, they serve the best cocktails in town.
They have won numerous awards.
It's definitly worth checking out if you're in Rotterdam.

On a sadder note. As far as my private life is concerned.
Parents can be really annoying and hurtful at certain times. But I think we've all had our fair share of spats and arguments with them.
But that's life.

I salute you all.

Love,

Priti
